Super Smash Bros. Arcade - Choose Your Fighter!

I had a dream a few weeks ago that there was an arcade cabinet of Smash Wii U... So I made a mock-up menu of it... Then I animated it... Then I added a debug menu to it... Then I recorded a video of it with a phone... Then I let it sit on the internet. When I made this (before I decided to fa-leak-ke it), I wanted to make something that looked cool and that would hype you up. Something Etika would freak out about, ya know? So by posting this anonymously, I got some to read some pretty candid comments. A lot of stuff about it being a cool concept (and getting DK's translation wrong? sorry) and people being interested. The idea with the amiibo support was that you could bring your amiibo to one of the arcade cabinets to access one of the fighters that wasn't available from the default roster. I also felt that the arcade would be a cool way to earn custom parts and alternate specials for characters. The Debug Menu was heavily influenced by Melee's, and I even set it up so I could have the video show Popo's name in the character list. I also designed the Debug Menu with the mindset that the entire Wii U version of the game was built into the arcade cabinet to allow for fluent balance patches and easy access to character data.

So, it started as a fun concept and ended up being a fun fa-leak-ke. We're in the Omni age. Nothing is real unless Random Talking Bush says so. When Etika said it reminded him of the old days, as an artist, I felt accomplished. Enjoy!
